6'3" - ? Lowering floor

I was wondering if anybody has lowered a section of the flooring in busses to accomodate taller folk. I was paticularly thinking about just the walking portion between seats. Any ideas, suggestions appreciated. Have a wonderful day.

I don't think that lowering the floor will be possible in most buses, there are two large beams that consist of the main frame and between those sit the transmission, driveshaft, brake lines, etc.

I'm kind of in the same position. I don't have a bus yet. I've seen ones that have raised passenger areas with the driver's seat lower down. Could there be a chance that that raised passenger area can go down? The one I am looking at doesn't have luggage space underneath so I have no idea why the raised ares is there. I'm almost 6' and everyone else in the family is 6'2" or 6'3". I'm the shorty and I'm claustrophobic.

Not sure about that stuff, but I'm 6'3" and can stand in my bus. Thomas with high headroom, added 3/4" foam board with 3/4" plywood to floor and I can comfortable walk through the bus

Edit - if I remember correctly I had right about 70 inches of height onthe sides by window, but no issues walking down the center

Raising the roof is a common solution for adding headroom and most likely a much simpler project.

Or... Look at low floor transit buses.
