Ok so I've been looking for a bus already converted or not for about 3 years but everytime somebody snags it from me. I know 3 years and I don't have one yet? I'm picky, I want a Crown. Anyway I used work for a small school with 3 buses, I drove and worked on them, so I know about Cummins, and Internation diesels. The bus I'm looking at right now has a Detroit and I'm wondering if any of you have wisdom, rants, raves... about Detroits? I don't know how to do links but here is the info if you want to see the bus and other for sale by the same company, let me know what you think! Thanks! Dave

Ebay item number: 390079635102
seller: washington-state-surplus
current bid: $687.83

Detroit Diesel

This engine maker has been making engines for a very long time with an excellent history. All the Greyhound buses used this 2 cycle engine. The engines are very long lasting and reliable. Maintainence must be performed. The turbo engines are a very good powerful engine. My preference is the 6V-92 silver with
turbo, which yields about 375HP. The Crown bus mentioned is a good bus but may sell in the $2800-3500 value. Frank

Dave,

Did you see this converted '71 Crown on ebay. Pretty nice . . .pretty pricey, too. I wouldn't mind driving it. It's item #120457517112.
