So when I bought my bus, I expected to have a 6pin deutsch connector because my engine is only J1708 from around the age they started changing to to 9pin. My transmission sends data over J1939. Anyway, there's a switch next to my connector that I haven't been able to figure out what it does. I have flipped it on and off and it doesn't change the data stream or power on the bluefire. Does anyone else know what it's supposed to do?
Edit: I can see I have pins only for J1708. My bluefire seems to pickup transmission data on J1939(having that enabled on the adapter), can that come over the J1708 pins?
