I've currently have an 89 TC2000 72 passenger. I just put 12,000 veggie miles on my schoolie this summer racing motorcycles and love my bus. The thing is that the initial thrill of owning a skoolie at 50-55 mph is wearing off. I do mainly long hauls on the interstate and my TC 2000 just doesn't have the cruising speed. I want to upgrade to a 93 or newer FE All American. It seems like a logical choice right. How much more power does the 8.3 cummins put out over the 5.9? Reliability? I like the flat nosed buses and need a forward engine so I can load my bikes through the emergency exit. The MT 643 seems to be a plus as well with that locking mechanism.

I'm asking if anyone has any opinions on the All American or on any other bus I should be looking for. Thanks.

My 1996 Intl. is a shortbus 3800 turbo and will go 65 and sticks there because I think there's a govenor. I'd rather go 75, but I'm glad it's at least 65!!

I had a thread asking about All Americans before I bought mine. There might be some useful info there for you. it also has links to other sites talking about All Americans....

See it here.
