95 Carpenter Questions

The more i read the more i am settling on a approximate 95 Carpenter with i guess they call a dog nose. Regular school bus anyway. Would someone be so kid and get me up to sped as to what i should be looking at when i purchase my bus. I am well versed as to the basic stuff a person looks at but need specific things for this model bus. I hear the instrument clusters go out. Is this common? Replacement cost? What engine and trans are available? Anyone better than the other? That kind of stuff will be gold to me.

I would suggest starting off by deciding exactly what engine/trans combination you want, bus length, year of manufactures, width, and so forth. I would also consider city and coach busses depending on what i intended to use it for.
