a/c freon leaking

Hi, I am finally back to my bus. It is a 1987 Chevy g30 mini/shorty handicapped bus. I discovered a very easy way to remove the seats, etc. Everyone here seems to think it is difficult. Here is what I did. I went and got a little of my favorite blended whiskey, some ice, and my favorite mixer. Then I got the grille out and began grilling two steaks while sipping. During this entire time I gave my 18 year old football and weightlifting award winner son a bunch of tools and told him; "If you are going to use this bus to tailgate at college (he just started), you need to help out. All the seats were out and the locks were installed and the Handicap lift (very very heavy; we needed help) was out in one day. Worked very well. Steaks were good (at least I think they were).

Here is my problem, when I bought the bus, it had a new a/c compressor and drier and the front air and the rear inside inner roof hang down (not roof top camper type outside air) air was and is ice cold and has an incredible air volume. However, when I add freon, I always add dye but sure enough; three times in a row, all the freon leaked out and I cannot find the leak even with the dye. Are there any particular areas that routinely leak on these systems? The reason I am asking is that it looks like they built the ac systems and then built the bus around them. Very frustrating to work so very well and then nothing in about one week. Time for some more Crown Royal.

The fittings around the condenser tend to leak on the units with the side mounted condenser. Check all the fittings on the hoses and anywhere there is a crimp connector. Do you have one of those black lights yet?

If you don't have one get one. With the leak detector you already put in you put on the yellow glasses and turn the light on and the problem areas just light up a florescent green. It does this even with plenty of light.

If you have a condenser in front of the radiator it may have a small pin hole in it and it may appear wet and oily.

Thanks for the reply. I do have the black light thing and also I just got a "sniffer" which I will try next. The only leak I have found is a tiny tiny bit at the drier connector. I was just trying to find out if there was a specific problem area on these busses before I take the entire thing apart to find it.
