I'm running into deadends at Generac's website, looking for replacement Distributor Cap & Rotor.

Anybody have any luck finding Generac parts?

and no, it's not hot... I know the back story

Wow injust fell down the interweb Rabbit hole of curiosity. It seems Generac makes their own engines at their plant in WI.

Good luck!

I just started chasing this rabbit....

I found some info from a poster on another forum

"I work for a Generac industrial dealer and need help that Generac is unable to give... Back in the mid-late '90's they used a 1.6L Fiat engine on 10-25kW NG/LP generators. Recently I have found out that they no longer supply the distributor cap or rotor button for this engine. I have been able to source the cap but have had no luck on the rotor. It is supposed to be a Fiat P/N 71371301. I'm hoping someone has run across this before and could provide some assistance. Thanks!"

one answer:
"These engines were not released in the US for automobile applications, but they were in Canada and the UK. I have been buying my parts on eBay from a user focus212 in the UK. Prices are much less expensive than Generac even with the shipping. The Part numbers I have are Intermotor 34800 Condenser, 48212 Rotor, 45460 Cap, 22271 Points (Which he sells under part # XR240) not sure of mfg name. I've been using BPR5ES plugs Part # 7734 found locally. Hope this helps those that are still using these generators. I'm currently searching for an oil fill cap for this engine. I found a mfg in the UK for the governor throttle linkage for those having issues with that."

Perhaps you could go at it from distributor make and number. Good chance it's a Marelli, I doubt if they used a different cap just for Generac.

Here's a crude thought to try. Remove the distributor- measure the diameter of the hole- find a dist with same cylinders and hole size - install your gear on it. Might be possible to get mfr. number like ducellier or prestolite on a tag on the case as well. I had same problem with a Kawasaki 3 cyl in a Cushman. Used opel points and condenser.
