Hello fellow Skoolie's!

We are planning on installing our 13.5 AC unit through our roof emergency exit and still are trying to figure out the best way to do it. We figure since the whole is there why not. I know a couple of you have done it I just cant find the post where it shows. What bracing should we use? just brace it with 2x4's or use steel strut? If you have done it or know how please share.

Thanks!

u get up on the roof and see how big the plate that holds the emer hatch,u than get a plate the same size, but u want two of them ,,one for the out and one for the insize,,u than fine the center of the plate and cut out a 14x14 hole and than u mount one plate to the roof out size and one inside...make a fram out of 2x2 too put between the two plates. this is a must,,than mount your AC ,,,seal the plates good, and use an AC seal for the unit...

wher are u at ?? iam in GA
