My husband and I have had a conversion of some sort on our minds for a couple of years. We considered vans and buses, but weren't ready to pull the trigger yet.

A friend of ours was getting rid of her Ford E350 shuttle bus because she broke down on the highway and couldn't afford the time or money to tow and repair on her way to her new home state. We feel terrible for her loss, but couldn't miss out on the opportunity. In a week or two, it should be coming home from the shop.

So... suddenly surprise bus! It's currently mostly gutted, with a table and futon inside along with four original seats. We're looking to convert for business travel and leisure, with capability to go full time later if we want to.

Currently on a serious research overload. Wish us luck!

Beginning our adventure

My husband and I are currently in the beginning phase of Skokie life. We have two children and can’t wait to travel, sonwe are searching for the perfect bus for us. Hopefully, we can complete start to finish within 2 years. Any advice for us newbies? We have absolutely no electric or plumbing experience, however, we both possess basis and I mean basic building skills.
