Advice for Newbie

Wife sent me a facebook marketplace post of a schoolie van and considering buying it for her 40th Bday, but have NO idea how to ascertain value of something like this, or how to go about having it assessed (the last car i bought i had an independent mechanic do a pre-purchase inspection), but this thing is as much house as it is car hahah.
