Air conditioner design?

I see several ideas about installing residential window unit air conditioners on a skoolie and ducting them to provide a/c throughout the bus. I like the idea since the residential a/c is cheaper than an rv unit, easy to replace if needed and pretty durable. Does anyone have pictures of units installed with ducting so we can get a better idea of how it can be done? I imagine mounting the a/c unit either in the back of the bus or underneath and fabricating a plenum box to mount and seal over the front of the a/c to direct the airflow. A run of insulated ductwork would then be attached to the plenum to carry the cool air to registers in the bus.
Am I on track here with the design? All ideas are welcome. Thanks.

We used the empty space in the bulkhead (above the windshield and above the emergency door) as the plenum for the intake air to cool the compressor. We removed the flasher light and covered them with vents for the intake. We have one A/C unit (6K BTU) in the front and one of same size in the back. We have the cover finished but I have not added it to the photobucket yet.

Lorna can you change the colors of state in signature?
If so TN ........is wrong color

Awesome Lorna, thanks for the pics. Perfect idea using the front and rear flasher holes for vents and the dead space between the walls as the plenum run. Liberal use of 100mph tape and sealant prevents any air leaks. I like it! I have committed the design to my steel trap memory! Problem is it's rusted open and doesn't hold as well as it used to :D

I have reached my memory capacity. I need to either delete some files or install more memory.
