Hi.

Yesterday after like 2 years I was able to weld a new bracket and install the air ride seat and 12v compressor under the seat and try it for the first time!!!!

but I have no idea of Air ride seats and it seems to me that I have to :

1.- Add a check valve between the compressor and the seat inlet ?

2.- somehow wire the compressor so it stops after seat high is set ?

3.- if number 2 is a no, then add a pressure sensor and add a relay to stop the compressor ?

Anyone have experience with this and can guide me on how to "wire", connect it correctly ?

Thanks.

get a 12 volt compressor that has an air-tank attached, will have it's own shutoff, the seat has a raise and lower valve to control height, then you also could add an air horn

I already got one without a tank and it has power, I'm just want to find a way to shut it off automagically, I though the seat will have something but I can't find anything.

The seat isn't going to have anything like that. It will have a switch to add or subtract air pressure that is supplied from the on-board air system of the truck. What you're attempting is custom.

With you having a little 12v compressor, I'd suggest putting the compressor on a toggle switch(add a relay if needed), switch the compressor on, air up the seat to your desired height, shut off the compressor and seat switch, and then see how long it holds.

You can add a check valve at the outlet of the compressor, but I'm not sure if you would necessarily need one, the seat switch should handle that.
