Since I considering this other bus and having driven Lurlene awhile now I was wondering...how much difference does air ride suspension make? With the roof raise on Lurlene it can sometimes feel a little funky when cornering or she will have some side to side wobble after doing certain things. Would air ride alleviate those issues? And just in general would air ride feel or be that much better?

air ride will be much smoother, your issues with sway and funky handleing are probably shock absorber and suspension bushing related.

your conversion and roof raise has raised the center of gravity and at the same time probably not come anywhere close to rated capacity of the suspension which makes me wonder if the rear overload springs are loading and unloading in transit, that can cause an uncomfortable feel inside the bus.

after a suspension inspection try adding 500# just inside the back door and see if it helps settle things down.
