AMTRAN RE Electrical Diagrams

Thanks for the info, I will do that test for you today and post the results. By the way, is there any way you can email me a copy of that manual for future reference? Much appreciated. Talk soon.

Thanks for agreeing to do the test. I was curious to know if that diode curcuit, which is basically what helps control / regulate the front and rear start switch capabilities, has anything to do at all with a dark push pad panel / no start scenario.

Like I said before, how you found that burnt diode.... awesome work!

As far as copying the service manual, I thought about it many times but it is just too many pages and I have a very cheap one page scanner.

I think it would serve us all best if I just upload / post needed sections of the manual. You can then download to a flash drive for later referencing.

On the flip side of that, while time permits, I don't mind looking things up and sharing them. It helps you and it helps me better understand what is going on with my bus, just incase of a roadside trouble that is...

This is what the manual looks like..

I'm not gonna lie, that's a good looking service manual! lol
I've been searching for a digital manual on our bus with no luck since we got it. We own a 01' IC RE300 with an AmTran DT466E Badge on the rear. It also has a MD3060. I've been struggling to find the info i'm searching for, and I'm wanting to get to know my bus a little better especially in the rear end! Much to learn!
I called Navistar searching for a engine manual they told me the International dealer should be able to provide me with any manuals free since I'm the owner. The nearest dealers I called were unable to help but took a message. Then I called one out of state that said it's all digital now and the engine manual is near $500 and the body manual is another $500. That seems a bit much for me so I'm searching the internet and may check out torrents. Also trying to see if International OnCommand would be a financially reasonable option. ewo1 I may be asking of your assistance in the near future!

Hi,

Im, Kyle. I bought a 2002 Amtran International FE 3000. I got tigger happy went deleting wires and my window wipers, Window heater, motor to control the side mirrors, Boost Pump(for the coolant circulation) ect. I got the wipers working. The bus does run but I'm worried that I cut something that might regulate a full pump or Air brakes etc. Any ideas on how to test what has power and what does not? I have found some wires but not all of the number correspond with the wire list provided.

HELP

Here is the circuit diagrams for the mirror heaters, heater boost pump, step heater and defroster, drivers heater and rear underseat heater.

For right now don't worry about fuel pump regulation or air brakes...
Once you start the bus I would hold on to the wires you were just working on to see if anything starts to get warm/hot.

Mildly warm might be ok but HOT...No way!!! needs to be checked!

Hope this helps you move forward.

Thanks so much for taking the time to post these diagrams. Incredibly helpful in my quest to sus out non-functional marker lights... they apparently run through the steps lights.

Electrical Trouble shooting guide

Here is the section of the manual that discusses/teaches electrical troubleshooting.
Towards the end it talks about the Weldon Flasher circuit.

My connectors are completely different.

What I wound up doing takes a bit of time and a second person.

I bought new weather pack connectors. So I found my brake, turn and running lights via a test light.

Then I used my power probe to send power to the other wires until I found the correct wires that powered the brake, turn and run lights.

A second person who can verify which lights are on when you power them is necessary.

I bought the weather pack connectors and the tool to crimp them off Amazon. There are several tutorials on crimping the weather pack connectors on YouTube. I highly recommend using dialectic grease on the wires before you slide them into the connectors. Crimp the metal part on, apply the grease, then insert into the connector housing.

If you have any questions hit me up.
