There are two down here. The one on the right is the high beams. The one on the left I can't seem to engage. When I first bought the bus I thought that was the high beams until I noticed the second one. So I still haven't figured this one out. IMG_20191209_082043.jpg

not sure. Mine has a floor switch to operate the tilt steering so you don't have to take your hand off the wheel to adjust it.

Interesting. Mine has a bar but listen up and down and also tilts it.

This weekend or next I'm hoping to start pulling useless wires so I might be able to track it down.

On our old Opel GT there was a switch on the floor to activate the windshield wipers, kinda cool and convenient. Floor mounted starter buttons did exist, but went out of fashion around 70 or 80 years ago.

Does it start the school bus flashers? If you've already disconnected them, that may be why you can't find what it does. Mine has a floor switch as well to engage the lights when the "master switch" switch is turned on.

My wires are still all intact. I have a master switch for all the lights at my elbow along with all the other switches. I thought they were all on and working, but I haven't had them on since it's been parked. I don't know what to call it but I have this light monitor above my head at the driver's seat tells me what lights are on.

I'm about ready to pull the wires and going to label each one and check them for working before I pull them.

I just went and looked to be sure, and my 95 TC2000 RE has only one dimmer switch. I already knew it's connected to the headlights, but I hadn't looked well enough to be sure there weren't 2 switches down there. So it's possibly an option or just something that came after my 95.

You're the winner by the way. I emailed the mechanic where I bought the bus. He said exactly what you just did.
