Anyone here know how to analize transmission oil sample test results? Its Greek to me. They give you a simple interpretation but it does not tell you much. The transmission is a 1996 Allison MD3060. Please see attached.

I think 23 liters is right. I have not changed the oil. I was hoping this test would tell me if I need to change the oil and what type was in there... But nope.

This might help with a breakdown... Other than that, I don't know what your analysis means either as there's no interpretation key or baseline.

Blackstone will write out their findings on the lab results in a comment section of the test results. thats about the only difference between the 2 companies.

the only number that is alarming is the Iron number. one sample isn't enough to judge whats going on, but that's the one number that would indicate problems. with that result, i would drain the trans, pull the pan, clean up the magnet inside the pan, refill and test again in a year.
if the number is high again, you probably have some wear issues. it may be that high just because the magnet full of metal bits.
impossible to tell from 1 test.... you need a history of tests to make meaningful use of the results.

good luck
