Appalachian Trail Hikers- Skoolies

Heya, my boyfriend and I just came back from hiking the A.T, bought a school bus and are in the beginning stages of conversion.
We took out all the seats, flooring, bought insulation, boards, new floor and created an awesome floor plan.
Construction is difficult, we are parked in a field near the trail which is allowing us to pay rent and they have hookups for electric and a well.
I was wondering if anyone had success getting sponsors or a brand ambassador program and if so what companies to email?
I know home depot isn't too fond of me already- but hey can't hurt to try !!

You won't find much, if any support here, asking for hand outs, I am sad to say

Lot's of people bust their rears for years to build there dream bus, it is a labor of love and hate :biggrin:

Stick around peruse the site (is that a word? it is now since I saw it on the interwebzzz) and throw up pictures, we all love to see updates

Good luck on the handouts. I know youtube pays people with successful channels. Seems hard to do tho. Did you guys through hike the whole trail? Northbound? I've been planning my own a.t. hike for some time. Its a big undertaking.

Yah.... We pretty much have to pay for our own toys.

The concept of other people paying for your toys and vacations is so foreign to us old farts. The kids do get donations, though. Maybe it's the people trapped in a cubicle that want to live vicariously thru others.

I think the key is be a great videographer and put-up your own website documenting your quest.
