Auto Insurance in Massachusetts?

Hi guys, I purchased a 2003 international genesis bus and have fully converted it now. I live in Massachusetts, and I am having the hardest time finding an insurance company that will insure a school bus conversion. can anyone point me in the right direction of someone who can help me get this bus insured?? thank you in advance

I have a short skoolie in Mass. I first went around to my local insurance agencies and said “I have a school bus” they all said no. Then I contacted one who just asked for the vin number and identified the vehicle as a van and insured it that way. It may be better not to id your build as a self converted rv. Instead try getting commercial insurance for “personal use”. That’s what I read on this forum. I gather that insuring a vehicle for commercial use bypasses concerns about home built rvs higher risks. BTW, you might want to make a post to the new members thread. They get read alot.

I just told them mine was an international 3800. I had to insure it commercially but it's only $550 a year. I can't remember who I had used but I can find out if you would like. I also registered it as commercial here in Maine because it's a **** show to register as an RV.

I have liability but I'm sure you can get either
