Just completed my 2nd conversion, (even though I've yet to finish the 1st one). It's a 1990 Blubird Handy Bus. Removed all the seats, ran electrical, painted the interior, ran surround sound, installed 26" flatscreen, dvd combo, xbox, and mini fridge, inverter, reinstalled seats in perimeter configuration w/ custom-made velour covers, painted exterior and.....voila. I have many more pics of the process if anyone's interested. Will rent this one out as a limo bus. Wish me luck! Now back to the 1st one.

Peace

Welcome to the Skoolie forum! That's a nice bus you've got there. I've got a few suggestions for you (hope you don't mind). There are a few things you could do without a huge effort that I think what would put that bus over the top in terms of awesomeness:
1. Tear out the rubber floor and put in a wood-look floor. Maybe even just self-stick laminate that looks like wood.
2. Do some sort of window treatment (curtains or something) so it looks less "school-bus-like" on the inside.
3. Get a set of chrome wheel simulators.
4. Maybe some subtle pinstriping (like a deep blue) to break up the monotone blackness of the exterior.

have you checked into the limo rental qualifications yet? I am considering the same with my shorty, at least part time

Looks good! I've got a line on the same body style. goes up for auction in a month. Also my second bus. I'm with DiesilDan, put a different floor in, and a couple little things, and that will top it off. Good luck!

I like the black wheels. What about chrome lugnuts? 8) Bus looks sharp. I'm kinda of partial to the black buses though. :D

Very nicely done. Got any more pictures? Where did you put the screens? What would you say was your total investment on this bus?

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions, guys.
Putterpit: I'm doing it legit. It took me 9 different insurance carriers, but I found one that would insure for limo use. You just have to make alot of calls. Mine was a local carrier(National had no way of categorizing).
guel8:I'll post some more pics. I only have one 26" mounted to the window, right before the entrance/exit. My total investment? Don't be angry.
STOLE the bus for $550 at auction,tv/dvd-$350, covers-$100, runners-$65, fridge-$80, paint-$200, surround sound-$50(garage sale), screws,bolts,brackets, fasteners,wiring,sleeves,tape,~$200. Still have to reg, inspect, and get insurance ~ $1000.
Total Investment- roughly $2600!!! Should pay for itself pretty quickly (I hope).

more pics.
