It is one thing to have the plate clean enough to read the plate number and another to have it clean enough to read a bar code. If it is from camera I guess if you plate is so dirty they can't read either then they can't send you a ticket for a dirty plate anyways.
 
Ten-second fix: upon getting the "barcode" plates, take an ice pick and put a scratch vertically through the barcode from top to bottom. The scanner can't read the code, but it wiould take a REALLY close look to spot it.

Anyone who uses barcode scanners in a store knows this one will work.
 
i hate big brother and smitty is right it just keeps getting worse as soon as a beaurocrap find something that is not regulated by the gov it is in there like a dirty shirt ie here in canada everyone that owns a boat had to go and get a license by sept 15 and had to pay 25 bucks the fine for no license is $285. Mandatory Money Sucking........live the dream! timbuk
