Hi from Oregon:)! Karen and Todd here, brand new to the skoolie search and build. We have 29 feet in front of our house to park a skoolie. We have decided want a bus thats 29 foot or less for both parking, build at home, and we want maneuverability. We don’t plan on living in it full time, but, we’d love it to be available as another room to our small house or possibility of air bnb. We would be traveling over passes to get to family in CO occasionally. To make best use of floor space we thought that the Blue Bird tc1000 would be our best shot. At 27 foot long, and a flat nose on it, I read that there’s more internal room than on a dog nose bus. Does anyone have some notion of the TC1000 compared to other buses it’s size. We found a conversion on Craigslist we’re interested in, but, are so new to this!
Thanks!!

A Flat Front bus will definitely have more buildable area than a CE. There area you are in has some of the best buses available. Mine came from Mead County,Wa. My 05 from Beaverton Ore. Both rust free. Beaverton will have more buses going to acution this spring.

I love mine. I think is is an excellent platform. The wheelbase is like 6" longer than my minvan was. Flat floor is a bonus! Lower ride handles well, and is easier to get in and out of the back, yet it has more clearance than my 4×4 truck for forest service roads. Definitely the right us for me. And it is only 26', I think.
