Boat hatch skylight

I ordered and received a 24x24" Ventus boat hatch for my bus. I think several of you here had done this and my question is since the new hatch is flat how did you deal with the curve of the roof? Just let the metal go flat with the securement of the hatch?

I would think you would have to build a bracket/flange to mate the hatch to the roof and the ceiling inside as well. Something like how you might mount an A/C unit.


I jut recently read on this site where someone with a crown added a rooftop A/C unit and made a very nice flange out of aluminum. If I can find it, I'll post a link.
