How good or bad are a 2011 Ford E-450 gas at trailering a boat and more importantly pulling the boat out at the boat ramp?

I think a 2011 E-450 would pull my boat easily out of the water on any boat ramp. How big is your boat and how bad is the launch ramp? There's more than a couple factors in play here.
Take a look at your rear end gears. If you're set up for highway the gears might be a little long for a heavy load from a dead stop on a steep boat ramp. Basically you're not going to know how well it works until you try it.

That's a picture of money and they are probably carrying there man-maids to unload the boat because on a normal boat ramp even without the car it won't touch the water without the RV seeing it to.
I know those boats from the marine corps but ours could be carried by 4-6 men and broke down and folded up.
Damn money? Some have it and some don't? Some earn it by what they can do and some earn it by what they know? But some just have it. Ain't me.

The Lord could materialize millions in gold at my feet without breaking a sweat. I've asked Him to. And He promises to withhold no good thing from me. No gold, therefore ALL THINGS CONSIDERED it would not be good for me. So I'll trust Him and work with what I've got.

And for the guy who has dough? Or a nice conversion? Or any bus at all, for that matter? More power to him! I'm happy that he's in his situation and wish him the best.

And the Porsche WOULD get wet, anyway. I'll pass.

I have no interest in Boats or Porsches.. (however you spell it)..

But I do work hard so i can make lots of money and Have a Cool school bus

give me a School bus any day over a fleetwood motor home!

Well I have a 13' boat, and I've always wanted a porch.

This is my fishing "van," and the boat plays a pretty big part in making the fishing part happen.

Been dreaming of having a boat...Honestly, here in S.FL. there isn't much to do if you don't go to the beach, or do other water-related activities.
My in-law had a chevy avalanche, and towing a 20footer put a strain on the rear axle. Traded that in for a better equipped silverado.
I know, not exactly the same vehicles, but just to show (as others have said) "check the rear".

if I lived in florida full time, I think I'd most likely get some type of a boat or jetski, etc.. when I visit I find myself doing Beachie and non beachie things.. I find theres lots to do other than water.. however Water is one reason I love it there..

I rememebr years ago the bus manufacturers used to make real short conventionals.. I remember seeing 5 window Superiors and carpenters.. Full-size chassis .. one of those with a DT466 and an MT643 would probably make one nice boat towing rig..

I'm an outdoors kind of guy, and will enjoy any activity, but i do miss me some mountains, and forests!

oh...good question...!
Was thinking to use a winch, but you'd have to winch the whole trailer down...so no, scratch that idea lol
Unless there is a way to use a winch i don't know (which is very possible!)
