Hello y'all! I finally got my skoolie and have started building. I drove it from Ohio to Texas a few months ago and on that drive, the "Brake E Motor" light and buzzer has come on and won't turn off; even when the engine is off and key is out. I found this thread here with some other people talking about it;

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/958838-1993-f700-brake-problems-help-please.html

It sounds like there's something spinning and scraping the inside of this, which is what I'm assuming is the Electric brake (photos attached).

My question is; what do I have to do to fix this? I'm assuming finding a spare parts/junker to replace the E Motor. Do y'all have any places you'd recommend for doing that, or is my best bet to take it to a shop?

Thank y'all for taking the time to read/help!

ok first.
obviously you have hydraulic/juice brakes.
which picture shows the E brake motor grinding/rubbing regardless of lack of sound?
this makes no sense
your concern is the E BRAKE in a juice system so first is to pull the lever that releases the E brake and pull up on the pedal.
never heard of an e brake pedal motor?
one picture of what is exactly scraping and rubbing in your mind.
texan born and raised but in nc right now but juice brakes dont normally have an e brake motor?
so check your emergency brake pedal lever and handle ?
others please correct me if i am wrong.

ok second thought after looking at/studying your pictures i would look into HYDROBOOST brake systems which is what i think you have.
and they share there fluid from the brake system fluid with the power steering fluid.
your grinding is probably from a power steering pump not happy because the hydroboost would rather you be able to stop than steer but this is my opinion
i can have many and some may only mount to a hill of beans?
check your power steering and brake fluid.

hopefully someone here can call specifics on this one because i feel like my response will only lead to research for the OP?
it could be what i mentioned? it is hard to tell from the pics?

if i am wrong please tell me!
