Brand new looking for a mobil Cabin

Hello all, Started thinking about skoolies as an alternative to who knows who slept there and what they did hotel rooms. They charge you enough to rent an apartment for a month. Built my own home from lumber we milled (100,000B.F.) including all wiring and plumbing. Yes they still let you do that in VT and only thing that needs inspection is the septic system. Built it back before the crash when they actually handed me a checkbook with the starting balance and said "Go build your house!" So pretty sure I have the skills but maybe not all the best ideas. Hopefully folks here can guide. Favorite bus platform so far is the Bluebird TC1000. Feel free to tell me yay or nay. If yay does anyone know a couple good places to look for something useable?? If nay then what other flat front shorty?? THANKS!!

TC are ok. All American was the top of the line model by Bluebird. With the TC you're getting a 5.9 which is ok, and a 545 transmission which are ok at best.

Do those come as short and manuevarable as the TC?

Thomas, Bluebird, IC aka International Navistar- all three competed in the same market and are of roughly equal quality.
The TC1000 is a decent lil bus, too.
I just meant look around a bit and consider other brands and models before settling on one kind.

thomas also made a short wheel base FE flat nose bus.. ive seen them in 9 window as the shortest.. they run them here in the city on routes in historical districts where roads are narrow and corners are tight..

I like my shorties with a hood.

It sure is a LOT easier to work on em.

Edit- the "Cleveland" is Cleveland, TX. I'd try to avoid OH due to the rust.

We bought our first bus a few months ago and spent most of the summer looking for the 'perfect' one. Use Craigslist, publicsurplus.com, commercialtrucktrader and truckpaper and others to see what's out there. Our search started around VA and went south and west to avoid any rust issues. The extra distance paid off and we scored a nice rust free bus from VA/NC. Good luck on your search.
