Hi ya'll
My wife and I got here by way of travel trailer and F 150 but decided to minimize due to health concerns. SO. We sold the trailer and then the truck when the demand was high. We didn't want to give up camping and traveling, semi local, so we bought a bus that already had flooring and 1 wall built.
She is a 1999 AmTran with a DT466e and an Allison 545 with 40,000 miles on her. Shifts out great, no blow by on the engine either. ZERO rust because it was an Alabama school bus. My wife and I have been working on her for a month and a half taking off days when the heat index in MS gets to 106. We sealed the roof with Henrys and used Valspar Storm Coat oil based on the rest. We have 100 gal of fresh water in 2- 50 gal tanks under our queen bed in the back, 35 gal grey tank mounted under the bus, shower and sink with Camplux tankless water heater, (composting toilet) 5 gal bucket model, 12v Setpower fridge. 3 burner stove with an oven.
We are about to be finished with reinstalling mirrors, hardware, diesel heaters and plan on installing a mini split for next year. We opted to go with basic amenities due to our needs and if we see we want to change anything, we can very easily. Most of our equipment came from the big box store so that if anything breaks we can get it from ANY big box store.
The color is chocolate milk base with velvet brown on everything that was black and turquois for rub rails and door.
