Bus Not Starting or Turning

Is there any way to remove the wire completely and bypass the entire back door/emergency wiring? I would just like it gone. The cut-and-start method won't work considering it can't start, but is there one box I can disconnect to bypass in the meantime?


Instead of continuing to remove/cut/disconnect/delete wiring you don't understand the consequences of messing with, I think you'd be much better off putting everything back to the way it was and troubleshoot from there.
 
You could put the battery issue to rest by taking them to get load tested and not just voltage tested; batteries can do funny things like power the starter but not the computer. Did you try jumping the starter with the key in the on position?
 
I would guess better than 90% of the vehicles on the road have a battery that sits in a metal box.:thumb:

And then I realized all those aircraft batteries I've handled over the years are built into metal cases -- better protection for rough handling I suppose...
Or being military -- the gov. paid more to ensure failure -- yeah, that's probably the real reason...

Hope your day is well. 100% metal battery boxes are used on all kinds of different set ups, and at client request I’ve used a Summit Battery Box on a big block Chevy el Camino where we relocated the battery. You’ll only catch me using plastic boxes so I can get that one extra safety step due to some fun electrical experience with batteries and how they react with metal to metal accidentally touching them �� Just MY preference to have an insulator around my batteries. It was nice to learn that batteries do not discharge on metal due to the wonderful technology we’ve established for batteries. One day I’ll trust them more LOL I guess I am a part of the 10% or less because I've never bought a car with a metal battery box then :thumb: Always been thin plastic box that I've replaced with a better plastic box.

If your starter is turning over, I’d be interested now if it was fuel related too, as in a wire heading to the injectors are not supplying power, or something is not allowing the fuel pump to engage. If there is a Schrader Valve on your fuel lines, you can turn the key to ON and press the valve down, but ensure you have a towel over it so you don’t get sprayed, and press gently. You’ll be able to see fuel getting through your lines. No idea what pressure it would be for your vehicle, unfortunately. Sounds like this is a super tricky one! Just suggesting because I’ve been through some wacky situations on all sorts of vehicles that I’ve built/altered wiring for. If the starter won’t engage without bypassing, and you are not getting fuel, then I’m with Hubbard on assuming something got messed up causing a complete shut down of the system and you should tackle the strenuous process of rewiring to default, definitely not the most fun and hopefully you don't have to go to this extent.

Better than 90% is higher.:facepalm: I was being conservative.
