Where in Houston area can i rid of my bus seats? I called a few junk hauling places but they weren't cheap so i figured I'd do it myself. How'd you guys go about it?

I have pulled the seats out of two buses this year. I tried to give the seats away on CL.
Lots of flakes..... After 15-20 no-shows I hauled them to the scrap yard. They helped me unload them and didn't charge me.
Then we took the 800 lbs of steel to the recycle yard,
we took them apart - the foam seats and board backs went to the dump - $4.50. Then we took the 800 lbs of steel to the recycle yard, + $50. Put the leg of one of the seats through the lights on the trailer , -$25. Enough left over for dinner at Jimmy Johns for 2.

How much per pound did they pay?
the seats I did remove from my carpenter bs, I just set them out by my street the night before trash day.. and the guy in an old rusty pickup trucked picked them up.. every seat I put out there by the curb was gone that night..

Scrappers came for our seats as soon as we pulled them. Didn't even have to haul em to the curb.
No more scrappers by me. They require them to have a Refuse License now else big fine.
Progress....
IS there any visible reduction in the meth head populace? If so, then that's a win.
