2009 Bluebird with a 6.7. I drove it home after purchase with no problems. Removed the seats, the GPS and onboard cameras. Tried starting it and nothing. Turning the key on starts all of the self tests and the low air pressure alarm sounds. Turning the key to start and nothing. Some noises under the hood, but no starter action. Tried moving the shifter, pumping the brakes and nothing works. Three 750 amp batteries are fully charged. Any ideas?

Safety interlocks are very likely the problem.

Most "I cut or removed wires and now it won't start" problems on Skoolies comes back to not properly disabling the safety interlocks.

And how does one disable them? I am not familiar with them.

Typically the exit doors have barrel locks on them and when they're closed (i.e. when the door is barrel-locked and can't be opened) the starter interlock circuit is broken and the bus will not start (this is so the driver remembers to unlock the doors before starting off).

If you happen to have inadvertently cut or disconnected the wire for this, that will also break the circuit and prevent the bus from starting.

Unfortunately right now I have a broken leg and hobbling around the bus is difficult. When removing the cameras, I just cut the camera wire right at the cameras so I don't think that's it. Removing the GPS system was a little more complicated. I'm 99% sure that I didn't cut any extra wires, but who knows. Haven't seen any blown fuses, but I have only looked at a couple. The EE doors were working previously. I'm just not able to get around the bus very well right now so I will probably have a bus mechanic from the local school look at it. Thanks.

Had a buddy come by with a jumper wire at the starter and it fired right up. Now just have to figure out which safety device it is.
