Hello all!

We're having some difficulty locating an insurance company that will FULLY insure our 2018 Lion Electric Conversion. Some background:

I currently have Progressive Commercial, but it's very expensive because due to the weight we are legally required to carry at least $750K of Liability. With Comp and Collision, it's more than $2k a year and I'm old (over 50) with a VERY clean driving record. And, we don't need $750K of liability.

Recently, we had the title converted to MH (Motorhome) and have the understanding that Progressive (Commercial) will insure your bus up until it's converted. After that they will drop you. We haven't received that notice yet but I'm sure it's coming.

I found a local broker thru Kelly Newsome (thanks internet stranger!) and he has found us coverage with National General (Allstate) but for Liability only. It's fairly cheap but we would also like Comp and Collision. Has anyone gotten Comp and Collision separately from another carrier? We've never had to do that before.

I've called Good Sam but they want me to call their Claims department because they've never insured a fully-electric MH and the agents don't have the drop down menu for it! lol That made me realize that we have a couple hurdles here: finding coverage for a self-converted skoolie but also a fully-electric one.

If you have any leads for a good, smart agent you liked to work with, we'd really appreciate it. It can get exhausting explaining everything from the beginning each time you speak to a new person.

Thanks much for your time!
