California Smog Law Question

Anyone in here with a 76-89
Carb gas engine in California?

I’m just a little concerned after I get everything going about the smog laws.

Mine is a 1986 6.0 GMC engine.
No cat converter
Any tips, anything I should worry about?

If it came from the factory l8ke that, you are legal, otherwise you are going to have to fix it

Secondhand, private vehicles are exempt from the plethora of emissions laws.

Private vehicles need only comply with the laws when they were new. Commercial vehicles have to comply with current standards, which is why so many buses were retro-fitted with Diesel Particulate Filters, and many are having to be sold.

They are okay for conversion, and still legal in Cali.
