Calling Builders, Does Rusty Legs lead to Rusty Floor

I am looking to purchase this 2006 from Washington State. Underside looks "good" with surface rust but the legs on the seats are making me worried that they may be leading to much worse under the plywood. I am okay to handle surface rust but dont want to go near replacing metal panels...

That's concerning for sure. It makes me think they probably cleaned the bus by hosing out the salty sludge of winter.

I was trying to find closeup pictures of mine, I thought they looked that bad, and they really were no problem. Maybe they weren't as bad as yours? Here is a picture after the seats were out, and then a picture after the rubber was out.

All the rust you see in that second picture came off to bare metal with a wire wheel on my angle grinder up until the wheel well, where I had to cut and patch a little bit. There was no real rust under any of the seat connections.

Absolutely 1000% rusty legs mean rusty floor. Your floors and seats look exactly like mine did.

Run away from this bus. You also don't want any bus newer than a 2003.

The way the feat have sunk into the plywood floor is disconcerting...
Means the plywood's been wet a lot...

I would want to thoroughly crawl around under the bus poking about to determine the amt of work to clean up.

To me -- it's all about price and mechanical condition, and how you were going to mod the bus anyway...
