Can anyone direct me to post about build a new door?

Someone must have written about building a new door. I want to make my side door larger by one eindow length. I am thinking about putting the existing door in the larger door. Any suggestion would be helpful. I put a listing under classified for a door someone might have taken off a bus with a wheelchair lift. If I strike out there, I will need to build one I guess.

I am going to be crossing this very same bridge sometime in the not too distant future, but instead of building one, I'm planning on scavanging one off an old pannel truck or 40' trailer or some such beast and modify it to fit my needs... Otherwise, there's a lot of shopping for hinges, latches, hasps, jambs and transoms and oh I haven't finnished the list yet.... But I think that'll be the route I'll be taking...

If you are looking for heavy duty parts, find a good truck parts place. You will be amazed at some of the stuff they have for dirt cheap. There are millions of trucks driving billions of miles all over the country. They have things break all the time. I have several parts places that are close to me because of all the trucking. I have gone in and found prices to be cheap compared to cars. Many parts are common between trucks and buses. I think you might find stuff that would help you.
