Can't view gallery

Don't know what is wrong with the gallery but I think the problem that took down the server was spammers filling up the gallery.

Has anyone did the update on the screen that pops up when you click on the gallery link?

Something about Gallery 2.3 or ? says update required...... didn't want to do it and find out later I just got screwed. blued and tattooed.......

I'm also new to tthe site and have found myself at the gallery2.3 site and cant do anything with it. any help would be great thanks.
