CARFAX for buses 1995 and older?

Last time I did a carfax thing on a bus it couldn't find any info other than a couple details. Told me nothing.

Is it worth it for something 1995 and older? I'm looking at two shuttle buses this week and would hate to waste my money for another report that shows nothing. Mostly what I am looking for is fine details like engine size, weight listings, towing ability, tran info, etc. Things that I need BEFORE I spend car rental funds to go look at the buses.

i did carfax on my bus and it didnt find much more then history for where it was licensed in different states and provinces.

Thanks guys. Guess I won't bother with carfax stuff, especially for that price when they tend not to have much info.

As for the gears, Smitty, thank you for the info! Did not know that. I'm thinking something more geared for city might be what I need since when I full-time I rarely drive for more than an hour on highways and seem to spend most my time parked in national-state campgrounds or at parks in a city. Most people look for tourist attractions--I search for playgrounds and parks for the kids.

look for ones with "OVERDRIVE" on them. those will most likely do okay on the highway.
