When it comes to stuff such as your water tank management, or extra lighting, the switch panel on a Carpenter school bus of the early 1960s was well designed. There were some items marked as miscellaneous which could be set aside for air driven wastewater, extra lights, etc. For a generator, there was even a space for that as well. Carpenter had what some would call the "lady finger" lights in the early 1960s. Only taking those out to be detailed would help keep the vintage look with the bus. Some of the buses came with two switches. But I think the max was 3 switches for the dome lights.
