[Gillig&Crown]

A long-time lurker, I've finally joined the group! I currently have 3 buses:
1981 Gillig Tandem (rare aluminum construction) with a Cummins 290 and Allison 740
1983 Crown Tandem with a turbo Detroit Diesel and 10-speed manual (for sale)
1973 Crown Tandem, my most recent acquisition, formerly in Atomic Energy Commission service, with a DD 8V71 and Spicer 5 speed

The Gillig is partially converted, the 1983 Crown is conversion-ready, and the 1973 Crown is a conversion candidate as soon as I am comfortable with its integrity and mechanical condition.

I look forward to exchanging ideas & info!

Great! I put in new 8Ds, removed most of the seats, and have new linkage for some airbag valves. Also trying to expand my efforts to sell the 10-speed, though I would like to keep 'em all!
