Check out Honda's new Trail125!

I'm still figgering out how to transport my bitty scooter, once I pull up anchor... IMG_20201004_180844036.jpg

Apparently there is a hunter version with racks, extra seat pad and foot pegs.
This one I could go for! View attachment 52428

That's uber cool But sure that's not a euro version? Honda USA shows one model only - in Honda red - and doesn't list any accessories available (like the rear seat). No mention whatsoever of any other model or package.

Also confusing is that in some of the pictures on the Honda site, there are rear footpegs shown. But no rear seat (still the metal rack). On others - like the one in my OP - there are not, but you can see the lugs for them on the swing-arm.

Are they mixing up images from euro or Canadian models?

The Honda CT125 is being produced at Thai Honda Manufacturing Co. Ltd in Thailand, where Honda produces the CBR250, Super Cub, Monkey, Wave, Maxi, etc.

55 MPH. Not bad. I wanted a small motorcycle so bad when I was young.

But now there’s the electric bicycles that don’t have quite as an impressive top speed, but can go places that motorcycles cannot like multi-use trails, while still having a degree of off road capability. And no helmet requirements.

A friend of mine converts cargo bikes into electric bikes and they are pretty impressive for their speed, range and cargo carrying capacity.

E~Bikes are the "Next Big Thing" in transportation. Especially with the new green wave that is encircling the planet, currently.
Their fat tires make them great on trails as well as street...

Obviously, their top speed, cruising range, and recharge times need to be improved upon before they overtake similar sized internal combustion engine vehicles. But as technology advances, it likely won't be too long before they're "happening"...

i've been looking into them a bit. Colorado breaks ebikes into 3 classes. class 1&2 have motor assist cut off at 20mph. class 3 goes faster.
class 1&2 have the same rights as bikes, class 3 has to follow motorized rules.

there are some dinosaur tracks at Picketwire canyon in southern colorado that i want to visit. its a blm spot and access to the tracks is via 5 miles of non motorized trail. i want to see it this year so i started shopping bikes... and then ebikes.

the honda can take you anywhere, except where they don't allow motors. :(

I was reading up and found the hunter version is not for the north american market. It's too bad. I would have run out to grab one.

Exactly! Just teasing the **** out of us. I wonder how their market research went? I get it that thing would sell well in some European and Asian countries
but I think it would do fantastic in North America also.
Maybe some time in the future.

What do you guys think about the Honda Ruckus? I am looking for something lightweight that my wife and I can pick up and take off a possible rack on the bus.... It's 49cc but of course, I would need to modify it just a bit. They used to make a larger displacement Ruckus.

Oh **** yeah. That's bad-a$$, DeMac!
Good point, ECCB.
And Pete, you're officially the first person who's made me realize I've aged to the point of falling behind the tech curve

The ruckus is more about style than function.
Guy I used to roll with back when I was daily ridin my tomos was super jealous at my ability to go over 35mph.
They're fun, but 35-40 without a LOT of mods is all you get. That said- I've always wanted one just to mess around with.
