Hello!! I am new to this space so please excuse me if I'm posting in the wrong place.

I recently got a fully converted Chevy Express 4500 and now it wont start. Ran diagnostics (which came back with nothin) and tried to jump it to no avail. I'm almost positive the battery is dead, or that a glow plug needs to be replaced. My issue is I can't for the life of me figure out where the second battery is located and I don't have the user manual.

Does anyone have any idea where it might be? I don't want to buy a new battery to replace the one in the hood and then just have another defunct battery bleed it dry.

Thanks!

If the engine is turning over it's not a battery issue.

Unless you hear it struggling.

Glow plug issues start when the engine is turning, it's very cold and it won't start.

If the engine doesn't turn over it is a battery issue and not a glow plug issue.

Thanks for posting. I think a little more info is needed to diagnose the problem. Diesel no start problems can sometimes be due to poor engine grounds. Also, in my case after I purchased my bus, the batteries kept loosing juice. It turned out to have a parasitic battery drain caused by some of the old wiring. If the batteries have side terminals, these are known to fail. There is a way to upgrade them so the connection stays tight. Air in the fuel can also cause no start conditions.
