Chevy short bus

Hi my name is chris and just found you guys here on your site. I have a 1951 chevy pathfinder short bus have found a little info on them on the internet, but havent seen many. I was wondering if there is a site that might deal in old parts, more body parts than chevy parts. I am looking for the 4 upper caution lights. Any help would be appreciated.

I am not that familiar with the bus bodies that were built in the '50's back east. There were a lot of them, some of whom that had very limited production runs. Consequently I can say without embarrassment that I have never heard of a Pathfinder bus body before.

As far as the lights are concerned, most OEM's used off the shelf parts to keep costs down.

If you posted a picture of what lights you need it would be easier to help you find what you need.

Vintage trailer parts outlets may have what you need as the lights the trailer manufacturers used were often times the same as those used by bus body manufacturers.

Thank for your info on trailer lights, I had found that pa.thfinder was a subsidiary of superior. I found on ebay someone selling a pamphlet on a 1952 pathfinder with a small pic of the lights so I can show what they look like, at least the front ones. I'll post as soon as I figure out how to. Thanks again

I saw the first 400 pathfinder made was ford in 1951. On the plate above the windshield it says it was built in December of 1951. Does that make mine a 52.

Most likely it would have been titled as a 1952.

If you are talking about the overhead crossover lights, if it was a Superior Coach product your search just got a little harder.

Most crossover lights from all of the OEM's have used round lights. In fact, some were actually headlights with red lenses instead of clear.

Superior on the other hand had to be different and they used oval shaped crossover lights.

As to where you might find them I have no idea.

Sweet lookin' little rig! --- Congrats & Welcome. Nice to see another vintage Stovebolt. As for finding those lights...good luck. But any halfway decent sheetmetal shop could fab some housings to fit if you used some headlight buckets for the innards.

And like the others so far, I've never heard of the Pathfinder mark.
