Contracting out roof lift?

Has anyone contracted out the roof lift on a bus? My fabrication skills really aren't up to snuff for something so important, and I'm worried tall guests will bonk their head after I add insulation to both ceiling and floor on a bus that's only 6" taller than I am at the centerline.

I've heard numbers between $4,000 and $10,000. How much did you actually pay, and was it value for money?

Whats your location?

In denver they're ten grand. Only place I've heard of that does them and is reputable.

Wisconsin.

I think I need to find a taller bus. I ain't got a spare ten grand.

I might be able to do the skinning if someone else did the structural work, though.

I did mine for about 7 grand all told, which included paying two assistants. A shorty could probably be done for less, especially considering you'd be adding in your own labor.

Having lived in Vallejo for years I know things in the Bay area are substantially more expensive than in Wisconsin, pricing out mine I'll be at about 2k in material tops but that's just the raise and skin not insulation or windows
