I'm required to wear a mask if working w/in six feet of another person -- and of course, if I'm working, I'm in uniform -- that's be OCP's for anyone that cares...

Can't imagine my Air Wings doing it different from all the rest...
Same here, but also if you are in any enclosed space with another person. So, if you were to go into any Army building, any store in town, etc. you are required to wear a mask.

Georgia had 4,883 confirmed cases yesterday, triple the daily average for the week and more than double the previous record. Today was another 2,828, the second highest total so far.

Georgia is probably 3-5 weeks behind Florida, but we're on the same trajectory...

I don't think you can blame EastCoastCB for Florida's case curve jump into the exponential in the slightest. Just the opposite, but nobody listened to him.

Mask use does seem to help slow the spread, but the virus is out of control now. It's just that some control on the spread will make the pandemic manageable, and maybe until we get the herd effectively vaccinated.

My town has been quite successful so far with masking and social distancing. We're a tourist town full of old people, so the risk is here.

Though I personally detest the mask thing, I do put it on before I go inside where there are other people. Outside I go mask-less and do ample social distancing. Otherwise I put the damned thing on!

Folks - several recent posts have been removed from this discussion as they wandered into "not nice" territory.

Be kind, be reasonable and wash yer hands.

Oscar. Chop is NOT being ignored - the poLice removed the protesters early this morning.

That said, as far as masks go- you are required to wear one outside ONLY when distancing isn't an option (defined as 6ft of spacing), otherwise outside it is NOT a requirement.

These days it is especially important to watch your assumptions and always check your sources.

Be safe, everyone.

They updated the Google dashboard. Yesterday's numbers were some kind of error and not as high as reported. Getting bad data is discouraging...

Thanks for the clarification however I made no assumptions, that's how it was first reported on local news sources. Follow up news reports clarified that it was indoors away from your home and outside if distance could not be maintained.
Chaz was established on June 8th, on June 29 after multiple shootings including the death of a 16 year old Police Chief Best said quote " enough is enough" and the police started clearing the area on July 1st. On the mayors orders. In my opinion that's what I considered " being ignored" far too long and it's also my opinion that the whole thing was handled poorly and it should have never been allowed to have been established in the first place.
Stay safe and healthy
Oscar

Publix is great out here. Compared to Kroger anyway. All the employees and many customers are wearing masks.

Whole foods is my people though. You don't see anybody without a mask in there. Makes me wish I could afford to shop there.

The nearest Whole Foods is about an hour away. But we're thinking of going there for our meat. Going to try to arrange a curbside pickup and get a few months' supply of meat in one trip. Now that our freezer is fixed we wana stock up again. We bought enough meat in march/april that we're just now running low.

The only store I've been in lately where the employees weren't all wearing masks was Autozone -- I think that puts them in violation of OH's mask wearing for workers but I also noticed none of the customers there were wearing masks either. Huge contrast to my surprise going to Menards where almost everyone was wearing a mask, I was presented a sanitized cart when I arrived just like all our grocery stores. Whole foods definitely has better meat. We just got our freezer filled, bought a ¼ cow from the farmer who buys the spent grain (to feed the cows) from my wife's brewery -- I love closing the loop a wee little bit -- he's not an organic farmer but he's not a full on toxic feed-lot operation either.

Oh cool. Under the user control panel there's a setting and options list.

Go to "Edit Ignore List" and type in the offending member's name...

Looks like the last couple of pages need some cleanup here. The thread title is pretty clear, as are the site rules.

Everyone take a breather, go read the rules if you haven’t lately, and think before you click the Post button.
