Didn't mean to make anyone jealous. Here is a picture of wifey painting---no, not the monkey--look outside.

Fantastic that you got some piece and quiet there for a couple days.
Are you going to show us her masterpiece?

Prediction:

1. Next week, almost every newspaper will have an article expressing surprise that there hasn't been an extra increase from COVID cases from the fourth of July (the extra covid cases won't show up for about 2 weeks in the stats)

2. The week after, there will still be newspaper articles expressing surprise that the COVID deaths still haven't spiked much yet (deaths will spike about 6 weeks after positive test results)

I know this much- we simply cannot afford another 6 months of inaction. But that's what we're in for. Wait till schools start back and we go into flu season.
Here in the good old sunshine state everyone we know are getting together and partying.

It is a good thing we get the e-mail messages from time to time or I would have missed more than I already have.

I did ask The Director to reinstate this Traveller's access to the current timeline, no response thus far. I think the rebels are causing too many disruptions to the timeline at present. :)

Traveller 1454, you are in violation of Protocol 2H. Further deviations will result in disciplinary action.

If you continue to fail to avert the pandemic, we may have to initiate Protocol Omega.

Oscar1, I snagged a copy of both of the water colors my wife did on our recent camp out. The first is an imaginary scene from New York City and the second is a rendering of Honeysuckle Rose in the camp ground. I'm good at twisting wrenches but if I lived to be 150 I'd still not be able to paint an acceptable water color. I know most would have said "lived to be a hundred" but we're both so close now that there really would be no chance for me to learn!?!

Thanks for sharing those!
That's very cool -- it's fun to see what folks are doing while on the road...

Those are excellent! I really enjoy seeing raw talent like this, so much better than all the negativity we deal with every day. Thank you to you and your wife for sharing. I'm like you, I can turn wrenches, but the best rendering of anything I can put down on paper is a chicken scratch diagram of my wiring nightmare for the bus!

Fox News is starting early. They are "cautiously optimistic" because fewer covid tests were processed over the weekend:

Its a shame its so predictable.

Just got back from doing a pickup order at Wallyworld. Usually we're the only ones doing the pickup, but this morning there were at least six other cars there when I arrived. Everyone was masked up.

disney world is opening this week. https://www.clickorlando.com/news/local/2020/07/06/disney-world-prepares-to-reopen-as-coronavirus-cases-soar-in-florida/

I'm a "tool whore"...got plenty of them and always more. Twist all the wrenches you want. Build anything....even a nuclear weapon.
But the most powerful people in the world are artists...they just typically don't know it.
A nuke ain't gonna change my mind. But a piece of art can. Even a chicken-scratch wiring diagram.....

https://www.cnet.com/google-amp/new...vid-19-through-the-eyes-of-a-pandemic-expert/

Interesting article discussing a pandemic expert.

He dismisses any talk of a "second wave" and say that "Until we have a vaccine, any rise or fall in cases will be based on social factors: communities locking down and families sheltering in place. And, as was the case back in 1918, individuals wearing masks."

Another point that stuck out to me was that he believed mass immunizations wouldn't be available until 2022.

over 7300 cases in FL reported this morning. Only 48k tests done. If we did the same amount of tests as we dad last thurs or friday today would be another record.
