Crank down bed

I was wondering if anyone has try'd this in a bus yet. Seems like it's getting popular in the tiny houses... I would put my living room in the back of the bus and let the bed crank down and rest on the couch framing for support.... I know I have to do a roof raise to have room, you could even do some trick woodwork on the bottom of bed framing to look like a trick ceiling in the living room...

Neat idea if you are doing a roof-raise.

If not you would compromise headroom so much it would be unbearable for most.

I'm going to do a roof raise, 18 inches. It's simple block and tackle stuff but you would have to run wheels in a track to keep it from swinging around when you drive... They even got the bed to clear the wall mount TV so you could watch in the living room and in bed if you want.... Making everything do dual work....

Nah ... just make it so that you can positively lock it in the raised position.

Don't get me wrong it looks really cool though.

Lol..well the rigging for the loft looks legit...and that size ratchet strap is rated for like #5000 break strength...now that roof raise...THAT'S iffy...but cool
