Crazy CraigsList Fees

When did Craigslist sell out? Used to be everything was free. I just went to run an ad to give some high school kid a job helping me disassemble the bus. By the time I was at the category to list it under i was already at $35.

How'd you get to $35 for a seat removing gig?
That seems way too high.

I understand the need to charge a buck or two (and it should help cut down on the fishing and spam), but $35 is crazy.

Post it in Facebook marketplace and some local buy sell trade groups. Barely anyone checks Craigslist for stuff like that anymore. At least where I’m from.

Go to Craigslist Atlanta and search for RV Storage. I think if they charged $5 per listing there would be nothing on that page, all 100 junk removal ads would be gone.

Click on that box that says Bundle Duplicates and it'll make your life a whole lot easier

What a great article. I was curious why they started charging fees for employment too, and was initially disappointed. Then I asked myself - How the **** did they make money all these years? Servers are expensive, as are employees - somebody has to pay the bills. Having started several online-tools like it in the past, I too identified with being a "good internet citizen" - but that "role" does not seem to pay the mortgage well?
