Howdy All --- I am on the hunt for a 3.9L Cummins 4BTA or AA engine to put in my '46 Chevy Shorty. Hoping for a running take out. Even better if I can find one attached to a 5-speed Allison. I'm in Houston, Texas but will travel if the deal is right.

I wounld get an 05, 1 ton dodge farme and motor ,dully w/ a cummis .5.9 automatic and set that body down on it.this way you have all newer running gear.we did this on a 47 truck,not much to modife...you'll be happyer. my cost was around $3.800 .i bought a roll over from a boneyard.no more 4 speed,nice w/automatic trans. have a gooday
