Thanks for the add.
I have a 1999 freight shaker bus. Cummins powered with Allison trans. Built for Sturgis 75th 2015. On the way to South Dakota we wished for more power. While there I ordered an Edge comp box programmer and installed it. I still have not been able to get it to work. Has anyone been able to get a programmer to work on there bus? I have been told a heavy truck ecm is different that a light duty ecm. Has anyone installed a light duty ecm on a bus. Just not ready to give it up yet. Thanks for your input.

Hard to say. I've never tried it. What's the part number for your tuner? Also what HP rating do you currently have and what model Allison are you running?

As far as the pcm's go, They should be one in the same but the tune on it would be different. I've never tried swapping a truck pcm into a bus, but I don't think it will work because the ecm looks for certain things such as a speed signal and pcm communication that a bus wouldn't have. Without the correct speed signal, I know you'll be limited to 2000 rpm, and without the pcm comms idk if it will even run.

Unless you have both sitting there, I wouldn't try it.

Thank you for your input. I wasn't able to check the things you mentioned hope to get to soon.
