Hello everyone.

This is my 1st post; although I joined a few years back, and want to tell a little about my bus and myself before asking any questions or for help.

My dad left me his 1946' shorty bus 15 years ago. The bus looks original except most seat were taken out.
Its been stored all this time but was running before.
It is a beautiful bus and not one like it around Central Valley Calif.
Now its time for me to get it back on the road along with myself. This is going to be my place to stay when I travel wherever so I need it running dependably and safely.

Thank you all.

Man that sounds like a super cool project.
Are you going with modern drivetrain, or keeping it old school, pun intended!?
Post pics if you can...

Hi.
I'm keeping it Old School with the original inline-6.
Its been rebuilt before it got stored.

My dad put a motorhome rear end on it. i'm getting rid of the split rims in front.

I'll post picks and keep status updated.

All it really needs right now is total brake overhaul to be safe - old drum brakes, and the engine flushed out.

Take it easy Pete

Hi.

I checked it out. Wow! He's gone all the way.

I don't have the funds or desire to go that route.

Mine is almost completely original, like my old house, so it will blend in with the dirt driveway lol.
