There is a requirement for a dance pole to mount some where on the bus. I'm thinking passenger side and my question is does anybody have experience with mounting anything on a unit that will need to endure a pretty substantial dynamic load.

My initial thought is to reinforce a 2 hat channels, strap the outside and attach a cantilevered arm to said strap made to swing and pin to the bus for transport

Thanks

Distance out from the side of the bus?

Take a boat trailer tongue the length you want, drill and pin it to your reinforced top plates with some tractor implement pins https://tractortoolsdirect.com/lower-3-point-hitch-pins-set-of-2/ ? It would not rotate, but would be easy to remove and stow.

Replace the hitch with a pole cap and spread the bars to your liking before mounting.

It needs to be around 6 feet out from the bus 9 feet tall.

It's at compression poles to its need 2 surfaces to brace it self top and bottom
