Ouch! :shock: read, understand and live by the gun rules. Got a guy at work that removed his thumb, putting a loaded shotgun in the truck, barrel up, and just dropped on the floorboard.

Hey Smitty, what should a guy buy to look for treasures? Do the cheap metal dedectors work? the ones you get on e-bay for 150 - 250 $.
Or what would you reccommend?

Thanks Smitty, that is actualy the unit I was looking at on e-bay. So it is not worth paying the extra dollars for the deluxe package?
Can these things go in the water? By that I mean walk along the beach may be knee deep in the water and scan or do you need a special freshwater unit for that?
